   Install Self Expense on your Android phone.

   Sign in with Google, or create an account with your email and a password (we email you a 6-digit code to verify it).

   Pick your country — Pakistan sets PKR and Asia/Karachi automatically, and unlocks the Pakistani bank picker.

Use the same Google account or email here on the website to manage your subscription.

   Open Accounts. HBL, SadaPay, JazzCash, EasyPaisa and Wallet are already there — rename or archive any you don't use.

   Add more from the bank picker (Meezan, UBL, Alfalah, NayaPay…).

   Enter an Opening Balance for each account so your totals start from reality.

Archiving an account hides it from new entries but keeps all its history.

   Tap + and choose a type. The form shows only the fields that type needs.

   Or tap the AI box and type naturally: “chai 100, lunch 450 SadaPay se”.

   Pro: tap the mic and just say it, in Urdu or English.

   Review the drafts. Edit, remove, or confirm — nothing touches your ledger until you confirm.

Amounts like 1.5k, 2 hazar, 1 lakh and Urdu numerals all work.

   Choose Transfer, pick From and To accounts and the amount.

   Both sides are written together and linked — edit or delete one and the other follows.

   Your Transfer integrity check on the dashboard confirms everything balances.

   Record a Loan Given or Loan Taken with the person's name.

   Log each repayment as it comes — partial payments are fine.

   Open Loans to see principal, repaid, outstanding and status for every person.

Say “Ali ne 2000 wapas kiye” and AI matches it to Ali's open loan — or asks you which one, if there are two.

   Open Budget and set an amount for each expense category.

   Watch the status: ON TRACK, NEAR LIMIT (over 90%), or OVER BUDGET.

   Change a budget any time — earlier months are never rewritten.

   The dashboard shows opening, income, expenses, net and current balance, plus balances per account.

   History lets you search and filter by date, type, account, loan or person.
